Opened in 1975 as a private club, Beckett Ridge Golf Club is now open to the public. Jack Kidwell, who has designed numerous golf courses throughout Ohio, created this challenging layout. It is one of his most popular designs, earning the title of being one of southwest Ohio's top three courses. Kidwell skillfully utilized the natural drops and elevations of the landscape as well as the acres of mature trees and sparkling lakes. There is an interesting mix of holes that range from tight to open and long to short. The course finishes with dogleg right par 4. It is one of the few holes on the course that is almost totally flat but the bunkers guarding the right of the fairway and the tall tree that sits just past them provide plenty of challenges.

unprofessional coarse management. No ranger to keep pace. Aloud a group of five to play in front of as our group was making the turn ( friends of the boys who were checking golfer in I'm sure). I will never play here again!

Staff here is rude and unaccommodating, particularly given the number of golf courses in the area and the general decline in courses across America. Would not provide any accommodation to a scheduling error I had made. Although within their "rights," from a "fair play" perspective, most other courses would have done something. Not unlike Petterson refusing to accommodate Lee's mistake in picking up her ball thinking the putt was conceded. Just not right. Will not be coming back.

This course is in awesome shape, though almost all are because of the incredible amount of rain this year.

Beckett "Aint No Joke" this course will eat you up. Very narrow, most fairways are on a hillside and balls will run out of bounds. Hardly a flat lie anywhere.

Greens are tricky (and fast) usually. Play smart, stay out of trouble.

I feel bad for this course. The fairways and greens are in great shape but so much of the infrastructure is falling apart. Club house is so outdated, cart paths completely crumbling, dead trees they haven't cut down. I can deal with all that, no problem, like I said, the course itself is really solid. My problem is the total disregard for overbooking and pace of play. I'm fine with slower days but this place becomes gridlocked and that's been the case both times I played. I hope they realize what they are doing before it's too late and the place completely goes under and is torn down. I hate seeing a good course mismanaged.

The rating is for the course. T. Frey (Superintendent) and his staff keep the course in great shape depite the low budget he is given to work with. The place used to be immaculate as I worked on it for 12 years. The management team that owns the course "Fore Golf" has turned it into a poorly run product. They jam it full and don't give a rat's a$$ about the customers as long as they collect greens fees. It's a damn shame. It's not that hard to be hospitable and caring to the needs and wants of paying customers. I worked part time there in 2010 and they treat their employees even worse. IT'S NOT THAT DAMN DIFFICULT!!! The management needs to get a f-ing clue!!!

Fairways and greens are decent. Staff blows! Unprofessional,no ranger out managing pace of play. Unacomodating, payed for 18, only played 9 wanted refund but all they would give is a dumb rain check. I live three hours away from course but I was still in area following morning so I asked 2 different people about getting me out in morning sometime so I can use up my raincheck. Didn't do it! Idiots, how hard is it to get a single guy that playes fast out somewhere in morning. Of course they said I can't get out till afternoon when I will be hours north from course. O by the way,you can't use raincheck towards anything in clubhouse either. PLACE IS A JOKE. They charge like a top course and run it like a Mickymouse playground.

SLOW PLAY AND OVERBOOKED!!! IF YOU LIKE SNAIL''S-PACE GOLF, OVERBOOKING, AND AN UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! I booked a single tee time riding 18 via Golfnow.com on Fri., June 10, 2011. I play alot of golf and a lot as a single during the week thru Golfnow- never any problems. I know that as a single you are taking your chances, you might have to play through or be paired, etc.., no biggie. If it matters, I shoot 70''s-80''s. I get through 4 holes and beginning at the 5th, the tee boxes are stacked up with 4-somes 2 and three groups deep. The group ahead said that it's going to be a looong day. Tee times got off 20 to 30 minutes late (no rain or weather delay), and that there was no starter and they had seen no ranger. They suggested I drive up a few holes and then double back later. I drove to the 7th, stacked up, 8th, stacked up....all the way to the 15th with the same senario all the way. I stopped at some guys at the 15th and asked "what the...?"... Two said they used to be members when it was a private country club and now it is ran terribly and unprofessionally and this is now the norm rather than an anomaly. I went back to the clubhouse to ask for a refund and the 12 yr old general manager mockingly shrugged his shoulders and said "well, you are a single" AS IF IT IS SOMEHOW MY FAULT FOR SHOWING UP AS A SINGLE!". I said "so what?, you advertised the tee time and this pace would be unplayable under any circumstance, I'm on pace for over a 6 hour round.". So he grabs hs calculator AND PRO-RATES A RAIN CHECK FOR 14 HOLES GOOD FOR A MONTH WITH NO APPOLOGY OR ANYTHING. I said that I just drove 38 miles (I live on the east side od Cincinnati) and I doubt I'd get back within a month to even use it. he just matter-of-factly said "that's all I can do", and hands me the rain check as he's waiting to overbook more walk-ons waiting in line with no warning of slow play ahead. That's when I went off!! several of those waiting turned and walked out...at least that's a little satisfying. 38 miles at $4 a gallon for an overbooked course, an attitude, unprofessionalism, and a pro-rated rain-check for 14 holes. what a shame, because the 4 holes I did get to play were nice!
