- High hopes last year when they finally got the greens at Pine Valley, after decades of shaggy awfulness, into very nice smooth shape. Unfortunately this year, haven't seen any of that, back to bumpy, slow mediocrity and at 25.00 to ride nine Sunday evening, not much of a value.Played here starting in the 70's. It wasn't quite a cow pasture then but when old man Parsons died and his son took over place became a joke. Much kudos to new owner. Has done a fantastic job with Pine Valley. Unbelievable what he's been able to do with the greens which used to run about a 5 on the stimp on a quick day.Great value course! Well maintained and very friendly staff. A great go to course to have nearby.Great course for price. Not a country club but an incredible valueI am not a professional golfer. I am not even a collegiate level player nor am I a low handicap. I have enough stress in my life and prefer to relax and enjoy my golf.
Pine Valley is an excellent 18 hole course for any golfer interested in a scenic, quiet, sylvan golf experience. The fairways and greens are well- maintained. Each fairway is lined with mature trees; there are no houses or roads to be concerned with. The elevation changes are very gradual so it's perfect for walking, which many golfers take advantage of as benefit to their heart. The fresh country air is so nice to clear the lungs. And the wide fairways and generous boundaries of the course means you'll lose fewer balls! This helps makes it a nice relaxing experience for the mind.
Fees? Very, very modest. Even with cart.
If you're looking for a course with lots of hazards and challenges where you lose your balls and your mind, and come up with curse words that never come out of your mouth, look elsewhere. If you want to play golf and have a relaxing experience in a beautiful rustic setting without hurting yourself mentally or physically, try Pine Valley.

-The rough is pretty rough. Lots of patches of dirt and mud
-A couple of flat, straight, boring holes
-Lake is filled with algae
This is truly a hidden gem located in the scenic part of Wadsworth. The staff was very friendly and informative and we had a great golf experience. We'll be back for sure!
