NIce course
Nice great course. water comes in play on front 9. Hidden gem for the price
fun
this course is fun, some challenging holes but fun. tee boxes arent the best snd some fairways are dry and hard but still fun
Brutal Pace of Play
The staff was nice but it is a pretty beaten down course. The pace of play was terrible and there weren't any rangers out to ensure that the pace of play was up. The 18th hole wasn't even really a hole. It was a shortened hole that they put a hole in the middle of the fairway. To be honest, I don't think I would play there again even if it was free. Sorry, just my opinion.
Needs some work, could be nice.
course was dried up and pace was really slow. Didn't know they didn't have water coolers on the course so I had to buy multiple bottles. With that being said, it could be a really nice course with some work. The 4 holes by the water are awesome.
no water
played 18 no water to drink on course or people with a cart with water most good course have that also took
over 1 hour to play 4 holes
Nice starter course
Played here with my son who is just beginning. Ended up being a nice day to get some practice in at a relaxed pace and quality time with the boy. Booked online for great price. Chadly and others on the staff here are awesome.
Short but challenging course
This course had challenging slopes on the greens. The course was a little wet the day I played. I booked a hot deal on Golf Now for $13.49 so it was well worth it. Some of the holes had blind shots to the green with a couple hilly fairways.
Fun Golf ourse
This is a fun golf course to play. Not real long, but several challenging holes and some with blind green shots. Greens I thought were excellent and had good undulation and true roll. Only drawback was the cartpaths....very rough and since recent rainfall, had to stay on cartpaths. Hold on to your drinks!! Was advised by General Mgr that 100's of truckloads of asphalt grindings were applied last year, but a lot has washed away. Still not a reason to not play this course....was a fun day!!
Inexpensive easy course.
Not a real challenging course. Very open. I think slope rating is too high. Good value for the money. Course plays quickly.
Not bad
The course was well maintained, except for the temporary 18th green. The course is challenging, but playable for my caliber of golf. For the money, it was a good value.
Enjoyed my first time here
Enjoy playing a variety of courses and first time ventured down from Cleveland. Enjoyed this and got my money worth and would come back again.
Challenging approach shots
Nice layout with water guarding several greens. Also, several greens slope away from the approach shot which makes it difficult to hold the green. Will go back to play now that I better understand the layout.
This is a challenging course
I found @ least 6 holes with blind greens to the point that i wasn't sure where to hit the ball. The yard markers were in the ground on the fairways so i was guessing @ distance as well. Being fall, the greens were also aerated making potential shots go long & putts a nightmare!!!! I don't know if I'll go back again!!!
I think you need at least 3 times of play just to figure the lay of the land.
Where's the pin?!?
I asked myself that question way too much during my round. Far too many blind shots on this course, not just on the approach but off the tee as well. As a result, on numerous occasions either myself or other golfers near me almost got hit by players from behind. This is the first course I've played that I would consider dangerous. And would it be too much to ask to have level tee boxes?
BEWARE
I arrived 15 minutes prior to my tee time and the course had no carts until 20 minutes after my tee time. that delay was inconsequential given the fact that it took 1 hour 37 minutes to play 5 holes. At times there were 3 foursomes on a teebox waiting to play. This course makes no attempt to manage tee times. if you have money, you tee off. I drove off the couorse after 5 holes b/c I didn' have 6 plus hours to play a round on a short course. even at the price point I paid ($14), it was a waste of money and time.
Nothing wrong here
The course is a little on the short side. I'm not a great golfer but found myself driving beyond some mostly straight fairways It is nice for my ego to have been on the green in under regulation on two par fours, but this makes me think they're trying to stretch short holes into par fours. The only legitimate critiques I have are the tee boxes are in desperate need of repair, and many of them make it hard to find a place where your feet aren't above or below the ball. Otherwise, if golfers would repair their ball marks on the greens, it would be a wonderful little course, especially for the values you find here on golf now.
Course condition much improved
I played with my wife who is a novice so we scrambled to avoid slowing the pace below acceptable rates. We played 9 in 2 hours and felt rushed the whole time. The day we played the course had a promotion called Wacky Wednesday, all the golf you can play for one bargain price. If you are just interested in playing 9 at a reasonable pace, avoid Wednesdays at this course. I played the course alone two years ago and was not pleased with the conditions then. Conditions were much better this time around. Ninth hole swampy from 150 yards in to the green, otherwise good conditions. Pretty course with a few surprises that make it fun.
A hole in one
My dad and I started playing Deer Pass two years ago and it has become our favorite local course. The girls in the clubhouse are friendly and accommodating. The pace of play is quick. And the course looks beautiful. When we go there it feels like we are visiting family. I would recommend Deer Pass to anyone!
NO DRINK CART
to be a very busy day, the course did not have a drink cart, and there was no water between holes, it was very hot out there
Greens are the equalizer
the layout uses all the slopes, trees and water well. Too many blind shots that bring other golfers in to play, a bit dangerous.
The greens have numerous little undulations that make reading them very difficult, a caddy would be very helpful :) but they do make up for the short length of most holes.
