The Quarry Golf Club
Located just minutes from downtown Canton, The Quarry Golf Club was built on the site of an old quarry that dates back to the 1800s. The location provides a dramatic landscape featuring cliffs that stretch over 100 feet, meandering streams, and deep-water lakes. The golf course utilizes the natural diverse features of the terrain, which lends each hole a unique character. Despite being an old quarry, there are many mature trees that line the fairways. Rocky outcroppings and native grasses border the gently undulating greens and water also comes into play frequently. It's a golf course that demands accuracy and you may find that you need to use all the clubs in your bag. The tee shots can seem intimidating initially but the landing areas are more generous than they appear.

- The Quarry is listed in Golfweek's Best You Can Play in Ohio, I agree the course has an exciting lay out, the fairways are exceptional, the greens roll very nice and fair. A variety of tees allow for different shot making, a golfer needs to know his own game to enjoy the challenge at the Quarry. There are a variety of Par 3's and the same with difficult Par 4's but a very fair chance of shooting a good score. The staff is very friendly and the 19th hole atmosphere is one of the best in the area.To the post who listed name as Abdullah - not that is an example of the type of people we are dealing with - there is no evidence the Quarry Golf Course is in financial trouble. As a resident, I can easily confirm that virtually every weekend during the Spring through Fall season is booked with weddings and often times for at least 2 weekend events. Golf seems to be as strong as ever. My only negative comment is the Granite Golf Management and ReMax property manager have not done enough to positively promote to proactively engage with the community to inform the people about this most unique property. I have questions this for a couple of years now and if it were me - there would be a very clear communications plan and it would be professionally executed for positive results!Many of the negative posts - I do not know who they are but I can say - I am a resident at the Quarry and I have never ever in my years there I never had any issues with any one on staff. In fact, I do not know any of the names who posted negative comments blaming poor service. Lets face it, with social media these days those are the types of people many learn to ignore anyways. That all said, the Quarry is one of the best course that I ever played and that includes many areas outside Ohio - such as California, Georgia, Florida, Arizona and New York. For the money and professional treatment anyone would be hard pressed to identify another golf experience that is more enjoyable and affordable.
Our group loves to play here.WE use our discount tee time book when every we can. The course is great, we love the difficult holes and the view is fabulous. If the prices were less we would play her more often. As for the restaurant it's hit or miss .Some times the food been good, other times it's been send back. Over all it"s worth the trip to come and play a great course.Very over rated and overpriced. No. Wonder. They are. Going. Under. Holes. In road that leads to clubhouse.will. Not. Be backPlayed there on Sunday 9/28/14. The staff is the worst I have ever experienced in my 47 years of playing golf. First there was an issue getting carts to even go to the first tee....they were out of charged carts and the attendant laughed when we questioned him about it. He was not apologetic in any way. I figured I was there with my 3 buddies and this guy was not going to ruin my day. We finally got carts 20 minutes after our tee time and proceded to the first tee where the starter at the tee threw his arms up in the air with disgust and told us to "come here" as we were parked at the back tees where we were going to play as we are all 5 handicaps or less. He then approached me with his arms waving in the air asking us what we were doing at which point I informed him of the situation with the carts and he told me he was having a bad day. When I tried to respond he told me to shut my mouth. Luckily he looked to be about 70 years or I may have knocked him out right there and then. Instead I told him he was giving attitude to the wrong guy. He promptly got in his cart and left. Thinking at any moment someone from the club house was going to try and remove us from the course, no one ever came out to toss us or offer an apology for the way we were treated. I work hard for my money and can find any number of places to spend it on golf. The Quarry will never get another penny of my money from here on out. I suggest you find another course to play.Very Poor Customer Service/Satisfaction. Avoid this course at allo costs. There are many other very good Golf Courses in the Canton Akron area, that treat you much better, so no need to go here. Just today, we went with a group of 28, we had Tee Times set long ago. When we arrived, the weather was iffy, and were told, if we paid we would be refunded if the weather got bad and we did not ever go off, and would be partially credited if we did tee of. The weather got severe, and we never even got golf carts. We went inside to get our refunds, only to learn that they would only give us a Gift card to the Course for the amount we spent. Keep in mind, that we were a group traveling from out of State, and they knew this before hand. Needless to say they collected our cash, and wouldn't return it knowing most would not ever be able to come back. Absolutely unheard of, and after being told we would be refunded.The Best, Staff, Course, Maintenance, Food, Everything. Also, There are some deals available if you try hard enough.
I love this course.Staff treats you like a country club. When we finished, I wanted to play the course again. A little more expensive than most public courses in the area, but worth it. Can't wait to go back this year.
I was thoroughly disappointed. The fairways were brown and in extremely poor condition and the majority of the greens were unplayable, large areas of of no grass at all and just cracked dirt!!!!. This course is probably the worst course I have played this year. The layout is nice and I appreciate that but the conditions were inexcusable and the price was still at a premium. Not worth it. Go somewhere else.
