Love the challenging layout.
One of my favorites courses. Good location from where I live. Houses don't come into play.
Target golf with interesting holes.
Well wooded with streams and ponds requiring control of both direction and length of shots. Greens are nice and often contoured. Tees ok. Fairways often dog legged with elevation changes and generally in good condition but quite a few have some bare areas due to disease or blight. Rough is not a problem to play out of. Not an easy course to score well.
Crooked Tree
Its been a few years since playing here. They have taken down several trees making it a bit more open. Greens were very quick and rolled true. A few of them had some sparse grass (mostly in protected areas that might not get too much air flow). I did see one portable fan that is being used possibly to rotate to these greens. Play was slow. Target golf course still even from the tips. Not many holes where a longer hitter will be hitting driver. Its a nice course but its not that enjoyable for me to play.
Nice Facility and great Condition
This course is well maintained and the employees are very friendly, as well as those playing around you.
Needs some work
The tee boxes and some of the fairways are going south. While the greens rolled true, nobody seems to fix their ball mark.
Good Course
Not a very long course, places a premium on shot making and accuracy. Fairways are tight with lots of trees. Very fun course to play!
Beautiful course, but challenging!
Make sure you bring a lot of balls. The course is very narrow and if you don't keep it straight, you're in trouble. But it's in great shape and beautiful.
Nice Track with plenty of hole variation.
Played this course many times and it is still fun. This course has it all with elevation changes, water on 11 holes (some just have creeks which run along the side the hole or in front of the greens), woods along most holes, doglegs left and right but it is fair and you can see where the trouble is. On many holes it is important to place your shots in the right place to facilitate your second shot and on some holes you can swing away with little or no trouble to be concerned about, but it is more of a location course than a grip it and rip it track. Conditions were very good with the green speed moderate and the rough not to penal. Definitely will play here again and it is worth a try if you have not played it before and are in the area. Only negative is the pace of play was very slow for a Tuesday mid afternoon. We waited on every hole and up to 10 minutes on the tee box toward the end of the round when we caught up to a couple of very slow groups. There is no reason why it should take 4.5 hours to play 18 holes.
Tight from the tips.
Plays tough from the tips. Rained the entire front 9 however the course held the water well.
This is a course that requires more accuracy vs. length. I enjoyed the course. The fairways and greens were in very good shape.
Crooked Tree is a fun course and can provide a good test to the average player.
Greens are the most undulating in the public city courses.
Slope should be higher. Bad shots are very bad and good shots are average.
Decent course for the price
The course is unique. The course looks like it is maintained. However, the tee beds do need some work. I was satisfied with the course and the price we paid.
Very attractive and challenging course.
Crooked Tree has a country club feel to it. It is well maintained. My friends love this course.
The course is in great shape. Greens are true and you need to keep your ball in the fairway. The rough is tough to get out of.
The course is in great shape. You need to keep the ball in the fairway because the rough is tough to get your ball out. The staff is friendly and helpful. I played the round with a friend from Spokane and we could not understand why there were not more people playing.
very nice
Very nice place to play, not a power course. Almost ever hole is either a dog log or water you have to be precise or it will be a frustrating day.
Great Course
Nice course, maintained very well, great value and difficulty. Great views surrounded by woods, fun to play
Great course and challenging
The course was in great shape. This is not a beginners course it's way too tight and the hazards are strategically placed. If you are mid to low handicapper enjoy the challenge, if you're a gripp rip it driver be prepared to lose plenty of balls. I will definitely be back!
Good value
Greens need work: Cut was old and slow, too much sand. Tee boxes getting old and chewed up. Need expert greens keeper.
Course in good shape right now.
Some tee boxes need some work. Other than that the course was in good shape.
Great Deal
The course was in great condition and was challenging
