So when looking for a golf club what do you look for....A golf Course and here it's a 4 plus. Clean up the mud slides in a few cart paths, put markers out in the AM before people start to tee off, put markers back in period in practice areas and real just sharpen up the performance and your a 5. The members and people playing come first and like to feel they are there to play and not part of the grounds crew. For those kind of reasons I give it a 4 and not a 5.

And amenities? A pool or tennis court or gym or ping pong and the like...non rated since that is just not who they are. They are a golf club with social throw ins and nothing more.

So what about food. Well being a foodie I have to say for me this was a 2 to 3. For sandwiches and comfort food they are a 4. Fine dining a 2 to 3. And service is a 2-5 depending on your server. You pay a standard 18% gratuity and would expect a standard level of service but that is not the case. The servers are all nice but expect to have to ask for every additional ice tea refill after the first. And condiments and anything else quite often. But again that is depending on the server. Over all I give the restaurant a 2.5 when comparing about quality and service in the city. Do know they have 2's for service and they have 4.5's. And the 4.5's do out weigh the lesser'.

The golf shop and the golf employees are a 5. The young people working in the cart area there are always helpful and go up and above with a very positive attitude.. They have a golf pro for lessons only, Kerry, that is a great addition to services. They also have a head golf pro that also runs the dining room and every other aspect pretty much and does so with a smile and a positive comment. And they have a great little area to buy stuff and get information and the like, 5.
PS. If you are considering joining, wait at least a year before you by their logo wear just in case you decide against on going membership or it is not available.

The Membership there is very accepting and welcoming. There are plenty of games and offerings and this area is a 5. I cannot say enough about this group of gentlemen with very few exceptions.

The running of the golf club by the board is very old school and it shows. Decisions and movements are either slow and political or quick and surgical leaving the membership wondering and feeling left out and blind sided. This I give a 2.

Last is cost. I think for a golf club it is lower priced in comparable initiation fees and at full monthly membership it is higher based on its offerings. There are minimums that are low enough but you will see a cart minimum that favors cart riders but not the overwhelming walking population. So if you like to walk you may be donating you cart minimums to friends or using it for leisure rides in the moon light with your lovely. And as far as membership costs, this one like others is paying for memberships so look for ongoing membership deals. They are there or will be available and if not here look around.

So my overall rating is a 3.

Tight, fun, Traditional golf course. VERY friendly people. small but very sloping green. Small targets on some par 3 with numbers of 185+ from the tips. Great place to play if you can get out there.
