Roses Run Country Club has made a lot of improvements since the time this outdated article was written by Jason Stahl. The grounds have been improved and this year (2007) was an example of a course which took the critical reviews to heart and really made great strides to become one of the most beautiful public golf courses in northeast Ohio. The fairway grass is manicured to an art form, the greens are the best I've seen, and the overall value is certainly worth it. More staff, rangers, and new carts shows they're really sinking some money into this place. Yes, it is challenging to play any course that is in a luxury residential area, but the rangers are out in full force to make sure golfers play by the rules and don't try to cut overtop the one area that was mentioned in the article. The fairways are wide enough, (maybe they weren't when the article was written). I see no problems now, and my family has lived right on the course (on a fairway) for the last couple years. Many of us residents really try to make all golfers feel welcome, as many of us are golfers too. I can honestly say that the ground crews have done a fabulous job and continue to make improvements. The clubhouse is becoming one of the great places for banquets in Summit County. The patio parties will appeal to the family and older crowds as they play Jimmy Buffet style music, 50's and other theme nights. No heavy rock here, just fun times and good food. Having the right kind of live music brings a better clientele. Keep up the good work Roses Run!
