Lakewood CC 19 hole golf course is a Tillinghast master piece and the only course in Ohio designed by the famous architect. The course is now 7000 yards in length after a modernization and restoration of the golf course and practice facility in 2005. Slope from the back tees is 146. Greens are bent and well maintained with readings up to 12.

The club is open to new members and their families and is at the center of five new residential communities on the suburban westside of the Cleveland metro area.

The course is the venue for many PGA and USGA qualifiers and was the site of the Cleveland Open (PGA tour) in 1965 and 66.
