Shelby Crossing Golf Course was originally founded in 1928 when a group of citizens converted unused farmland and orchards into a nine-hole golf course. The course has undergone many changes over the years, including the addition of a second nine in 1962. The course has a classic design featuring narrow, tree-lined fairways and small, undulating greens. There are scenic views throughout of the idyllic countryside without a home in sight. Shelby Crossing Golf Course prides itself on the excellent maintenance of the golf course and the absence of any homes makes playing the course feel like going on a beautiful nature walk. Water comes into play frequently and there are strategically placed bunkers protecting many of the greens. One of the toughest holes is the par-3 eighth, where your drive will have to carry over a lake to a well protected green.
