Quirky Shorter Course
If you like quirky courses that are on the shorter side with blind shots then this one is for you. Course conditions were spotty in places, but playable. I do not
Need o hit driver on every par 4/5? But if you need that seek another option.
Not your average course
This course is a hidden gem. Don't let the short yardage fool you. It will make you use every club in your bag!
The conditions will surprise you..well maintained.
The greens are fast, well maintained and as challenging as any country club around. The pace of play will give you plenty of time to get in 18 holes on any givin weekend that you can still get home in time to spend that precious time with your family and get your yard work done. The minimal membership fee ($125) for the year (plus green fees) allows you to enjoy other courses you might want to play. The plus being is no tee time required, just stop in and play.
Annual memberships are available and many club events are available to members such as clam bakes pig roasts to enjoy a country club experience without
the country club prices. Many leagues are available, some structured, some casual.
A must check out!!!!
Good for iron and short game
This is a very weird and very short course. Greens are quick, fairways maintained. Hit 3 drivers and could of hit something else, but was driving for the green. Drove the fringe on 1 par four with a 8 iron LOL. Front 9 is pretty good back is very very weird and short. I hit a 62* wedge twice on a par 4. If you need to work on your wedge game and putting this is a good course for it. Also you can play the whole course in no time since its so short.
Short and Weird
I have never played a course like this before. It is like a large version of miniature golf for the senior crowd. The course demands mostly short, low precise shots. There is one stretch of par 4's with the following yardages: 200, 200, 165. The tee shots often require a half wedge shot. The course was well maintained and the staff friendly, but it is just an odd little course.
Gimmicky
Front nine was a nice layout with one 200 yd par 4. Back nine really mowing. Having a 65 yd.punch tee shot followed by a 90 yd shot over and through overhanging limbs is not my idea of"shot-making". Play the front, avoid the back or look for the windmills and clowns mouth.
Great course for muliple skill levels
A short course, par 68, but still challenging. Great place to go if you're playing with someone who doesn't quite have the distance you do. Take #2 for example, 280 from the white, but less than 200 from the red, #5 90 degree dogleg so you can only go 180 off the tee. Good to take a parent, child or spouse and all can have fun and be competitive. Very friendly staff and in great shape. I'll will go back and take my mom's boyfriend with me.
Curves and Bends
Short course with most of the difficulty in shot shaping. Course hosts mayors outings and others and offers an entertaining day out. Course is for short game improvement, likely more attractive to a more mature golfer. Its no Marion, however, bending shots is not as easy as it looks. Just about every hole requires some shot shape. Several blind shots so keep your eye on where your ball was heading.
It could be a pleasant afternoon to hone new skills. Nice course to walk
