While Black Diamond may not the most manicured course you will play it is still worth playing. The veiws from anywhere on the course are stunning. You will often think I cannot believe I am in Ohio. You will also say I have never played a course that is so difficult. If you strip your drives down the middle every time you can score well. But if you miss at all on any shot your score will sky rocket. The greens are fair but will leave you shaking your head. In short if you life in the midwest and golf is your passion you must play Black Diamond.

Cart paths are a mess. Very hilly, what makes it tough is not knowing your yardage and missing the fairway. Because of the elevation changes the rough is too steep to mow in many places meaning that when you hit your ball there it's gone. Many blind shots, really not that much fun to play.

Loved it. Fantastic views, wonderful course. The pro shop said it would be tough and it will tack on 10 strokes to your score....at least he was honest. Well worth the trip. The elevation changes were so dramatic on the fairways and greens that the photos don't do it justice. You have to hit your spots.
The greens were a little marked up from golfers not fixing their ball marks.

Course maintence is very poor. Dirt in most fairways, tee boxes nearly destroyed, lots of divots on greens. It is very scenic though
