Architects Brian Silva and Geoffrey Cornish designed Darby Creek Golf Course while still preserving its links to the past. Opened in 1993, the course remains a fine stroll through natural countryside on the front side and woods for the final nine. Four cherry trees at the entrance remain from the days when the Ohio Orchard Co. grew apples, peaches, cherries, strawberries and melons at the site from the 1920s to the mid-1980s. Next to the fourth tee lies a cemetery, cared for by the course staff, with 30 graves dating to the 1800s. A large rock next to the tee box on No. 14 marks the grave of an unknown individual.
