Grey Hawk Golf Club is a challenging but playable course that is a Cleveland area favorite. It brings resort-quality golf to a remote location in LaGrange that is seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The rolling landscape is the ideal terrain for links-style golf. The course demands accuracy with lightning fast greens surrounded by bunkers and be sure not to stray from the fairways or you'll almost definitely be left with an uneven lie. Unlike a typical links golf course, there are water hazards coming into play on several holes on this layout. The 11th hole features a tricky island green while the third hole has an equally challenging "island green" that is surrounded by sand. Grey Hawk Golf Club is a formidable but fair test with interesting and diverse hole designs.

We have lived on the 11th hole of this golf course for 5 years now and play it twice each year. They have made great strides in improving this course every year. We see their maintenance crews daily working hard to get this course into one of the best courses in the Cleveland area. I played this course in the “bad old days” and the comparison shop is dramatic. When a strong west wind is blowing use one or two clubs more then you think you need on the 11th island hole. Only one out of four golfers get on this green even in calm weather.

My group has played this course every year. This year it is in terrible!!! shape. there is no grass anywhere..fairways , rough and traps are hard and just dirt...greens are slow but playable. we could not believe that the are still charging premium price for this course...so sad to see this nice layout in such a poor condition. We are done!

Sad, unbelievably poor condition of fairways. I played this course a few times when it was new and so was looking forward to playing it again on the 4th of July, 2012. We paid $55 each for 18 holes, including cart. The grounds manager / starter gave us DETAILED instructions for divot repair and cart rules .It was a little bit over the top but I thought OK, they take a lot of pride in their course and want players to respect it.

What a joke; how that guy could deliver that spiel with a straight face is unbelievable. I don't know if the fairways were burnt-out or if a fungus or grubs had caused the damage, but there was essentially no area of playable grass on any of the 18 fairways.

Played this year 2 times. Each time fairways dead. Dried out.Greens big and some what nice. Public metro park courses are by far better. I will not go back to this course. One star is being nice.

What a shame. This course started out with so much promise. Its a great layout and has been ignored from a condition standpoint. The fairways have been neglected and are very burnt out in most areas. The areas where there is grass is fine. The tees are average and the grrens are good. I hope they can put some money and effort to make the fairways at least average. They are charging 60.00 on a weekend and the course is worth about 40-45.00.
