The Hills Course is one of two 18-hole courses at Community Golf Center. The aptly named course sprawls across the rolling hills of southern Dayton. The course has a traditional layout that dates back to the early 20th century. The tees are perched high above the greens and the elevations throughout the course vary from subtle to dramatic. This golf course is longer and more difficult than the other course, the Dales, but it is still not as long as most modern tracks. The 6,304-yard layout shows that a course doesn't have to be lengthy to be tough. It also feels much longer due to all of the elevation changes. The walk up to the 11th hole is an especially steep incline. Besides the hilliness, several water features were added to the original layout.
