Great Time!
Emerald Woods has a course for everyone. Pine valley is very tight and will test your skill level. Walk in the park is a short nine that is great for the kids or if you want to practice your irons. Very laid back clubhouse and the staff is very friendly. Great place to play a round with your friends and then have a cold one, a dog and kick back and shoot the breeze.
emerald woods
Great staff.very friendly. Very laid back atmosphere. The course has its ups and downs on care, but the environment makes up for it
Emerald Woods
45 holes of well designed golf. Great value for the Price.
An enjoyable day
I played 9holes of Pine Valley and 9holes of Heatherstone.. I wanted to play 9holes of St. Andrews but it was closed because we hadsome rain the night before. Anyway Pine Valley was awesome, well kept, challenging, and the layout makes you think. Heatherstone was also challenging, good length, fairways were a little rough but the greens were excellent so overall I thought it was a pretty fair nine.
this course has 45 holes
Very challenging and has something for all skill levels.
great course
played Audreys/heatherstone. took a girl on a date there, very good price that I bought on golfnow. this was wide open so it avoided some potential frustrations. the other course set seemed a little harder. staff was friendly course could use some updates but im not once to criticize since I only play 5x a year
could be great
This course has an incredible layout. The setting is perfect. The conditions however are not good. I understand in Ohio this time of year, course management is tough. Fairways did not seem to be any better than the rough, in fact the rough sometimes was a better place to be. The associate behind the pro desk counterror was not personable, nor friendly. Didn't want to be there obviously. Under staffed grounds keeping and general help as well. We had to clean out and wipe off our cart before we began.
At the turn we went in for dogs and beverages. The associate behind that counter was amazing. Very friendly and helpful.
Overall I wouldn't tell my friends it's a must see, but the layout was nice
boone rd
nice shap and pace of play very fast. why is this not enough info for the next golfer to see and have an insight to your golf cource.
Improved Conditions
I hadn't played Emerald Woods in a couple of years, primarily due to below average playing conditions, but was pleasantly surprised to see the course in good shape. My only complaint was that a very slow threesome, with a young beginner in it, got out before us on the back nine and did not ask us to play through, which made for slow going. Other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our round.
Good time course
All the people are friendly staff and golfers alike. Enjoyable day out.
not good
place in bad shape fairways like cow pasture greens not smooth or true puttable one fairway would be half dirt spots the next grass so high can,t find ball
Challenging for the money
Fun and challenging course. A bit tough a times btu a fun round. Got slowed down by an annoying group in front of us and there was no ranger on the course on a Sunday morning. My only complaint.
Really would have to think about playing there again
Only played 3 holes that didn't have the sprinklers on. Called the clubhouse to tell them at hole 4 n sprinklers didn't go off until hole 8.
Quick play 3 hours 28 min.
Course was in nice shape. We teed off on time and was able to play quickly. Greens were good.
st.andrew/pine
Good design, a real equalizer for all players! In good shape for Aug. In ohio. Faireays cut short, ruff very thich, greens ungelating med. Speed. Creeks, swamps, ponds, bunkers and sand, teebox nice. Only complaints, need more water jugs, and cartpath work
Great for the price
We've played the course a few times. It was in ok shape, considering it dumped rain and you can't really get the mowers out. The greens were a bit inconsistant and it was tough to judge speed. But, it was a bit wet, so I'll give it a pass. Other than Mother Nature doing what she does, it was a good time. The staff was very friendly, including Dot the Dog who was keeping the geese away. We'll absolutely play there again!
Great course for the price
Course is in decent shape this year. The 4 nines have different challenges. It's not country club condition but it is better than a farm course
greens were in very good condition
A lot of construction was going on. Bridges were being repaired, trenching on several holes and sprinkler head on the greens? Normally the sprinkler heads are on the first or second cut off the greens. a few time the head did interfere with putting.
emerald woods
Even with 2 outings going on I was able to tee off on time without any waiting. Pace of play slowed after the turn. Still not bad considering the number of people there. Course itself was in good shape and the greens were well kept
