Tucked away in the rolling hills of western Cincinnati, Deer Run Golf Club enjoys a landscape of mature trees, which frame the beautiful views of the Ohio River Valley. The carefully preserved natural surroundings are also home to an abundance of wildlife. Although the layout measures in at a seemingly mild at 6,354 yards but the golf course plays much longer and tougher. It is still player friendly enough for a novice though. Bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. It is one of Cincinnati's newest public golf courses but Deer Run has a growing reputation not only for its challenging but playable layout but also for having some of the city's best greens. They putt true and fast and they are always in excellent condition.

I haven't played here since 2011 and the place had fallen off. The greens and fairways were in bad shape. The layout is a challenge. Fairways are tight, shotmakers course. If they can get it back in shape it is a good place to play and it's never crowded.
