- Just played 9 without a tee time and they took great care of me and got me out right away. Owner was gratious and friendly and a greenskeeper was nice enough to track me down and return a wedge I had left behind. Course was in great shape even given the dry, hot weather we've had. Don't miss it if you're in the area. Great bargain!This is an excellent golf course, keep in immaculate condition year round! If you ever visit Bluffton, I recommend checking out this little gem. If you love golf you would be doing yourself a disservice by not playing this course.I admit a bias. This is where I learned to play golf in 1955 and I loved it. Today I play mostly on the course that will host the 2012 USGA Amateur Championship or on Golf Magazines' #12 rated of the top public courses in the country, but I still miss Bluffton.
The original 9 hole course was superbly fitted to the terrain. These holes still exist with different numbers, but the original 9 was the better course.
The price reported by others makes this course a "best buy".
